Cortiva supplies compact, custom and high-level palletizing and stretch wrapping systems for bulky, compressible hygiene packs. Pallet pattern, pick-and-place behaviour and pallet packaging method are treated as one set of decisions.
With hygiene products the pallet hits a volume limit long before a weight limit. Packs are light but large, so height and tipping risk matter more than the kilograms on board.
Compressibility adds to it: a pack deforms under load in the stack and the pallet loses stability. Pallet pattern, pick-and-place behaviour and pallet packaging method are therefore treated as one set of decisions.

Products are bulky but light, so the pallet reaches its height limit before its weight limit.
The pallet pattern is built around height and load balance together, with layer layout derived from load volume.
Compressible packs deform under load in the stack and pallet stability suffers.
Pick-and-place behaviour is designed for compressible loads, and the pallet packaging method is chosen for stability.
High-volume production requires the end of line to absorb a continuous pack flow.
The end of line is sized to the production line output, with buffering and infeed capacity set accordingly.
Pack dimensions differ significantly across product families.
Different pack sizes are stored as separate recipes, so a product family change needs no mechanical adjustment.
