Formulas used
The tool performs only the operations below. Under each result the same formula appears again, written with your own figures.
- Annual labour cost = shifts per day × headcount per shift × annual cost per person
- Annual labour difference = cost today - cost after automation
- Pallets per year = pallets per day × working days per year
- Annual film consumption = pallets per year × film per pallet ÷ 1000
- Annual film difference = (consumption today - consumption after) × film unit price
- Total annual difference = annual labour difference + annual film difference
- Simple payback period = investment amount ÷ total annual difference × 12
