Stretch Wrapping

Pallet wrapping with stretch film, where load stability and film consumption are set in the same recipe.

  • Pre-stretch ratio and wrap pattern stored as a recipe
  • Different pallet heights wrapped on the same station
  • Film consumption balanced against load stability
  • Connects directly to full pallet discharge

Stretch Wrapping

Stretch wrapping is the most common way to make a full pallet ready to ship: film is stretched around the load until it behaves as a single unit.

Two variables decide the result: pre-stretch ratio and wrap pattern. The same pallet can be wrapped more securely with less film, or loosely with more of it. Both are stored per product and load height.

The wrapper connects directly to the palletizer's full pallet discharge: the pallet arrives on the conveyor, is wrapped, and moves on to dispatch.
