Pail & Drum Palletizing
Six-axis industrial robots with combined vacuum and clamp gripping for precise stacking of pails and drums.
Pails and drums carry a high centre of gravity on an irregular surface, and a handled pail is not gripped the way a closed drum is. The system is therefore built around a gripper that combines vacuum and clamping.
Placement is handled by a six-axis industrial robot, whose axis count provides the approach angle needed to seat the container squarely on the pallet. Stacking patterns are defined per product.
Operation is fully automatic through a PLC and touchscreen HMI, leaving the operator with recipe selection and pallet changes.
