How It Works

The technology's role in the cell

A palletizing cell has not finished when a pallet is complete: the next empty pallet has to arrive, slip sheets have to go between layers, and the full pallet has to leave. Where those steps stay manual, a fast robot still ends up waiting on the operator.

An empty pallet magazine stores pallets and feeds them in sequence; a slip sheet dispenser places a sheet between layers and contributes to load stability. The palletizing cycle then closes on itself, and operator involvement concentrates at defined points such as replenishing pallets.

Capabilities

  • Empty pallet magazine: pallets stored and fed in sequence
  • Automatic pallet dispenser keeping the cell supplied without interruption
  • Slip sheet dispenser placing sheets between layers
  • Contribution to load stability and separation between layers
  • Operator involvement concentrated at defined points such as pallet replenishment
APPROACH

The palletizing cycle closes on itself.

  • Empty pallet

    Automatic pallet feeding

Replenishment depends on magazine capacity, not on the shift paying attention.

A cycle that waits on the operator

A new pallet is placed by hand each time one is finished.

  • Between layers

    Automatic pallet feeding

The sheet lands the same way, in the same position, on every layer.

A cycle that waits on the operator

Sheets go in by hand, and separation between layers is lost when they do not.

  • Full pallet

    Automatic pallet feeding

The cycle moves on to the next pallet without waiting for the full one to be collected.

A cycle that waits on the operator

The cell waits until the full pallet is taken away.

  • What limits the cycle

    Automatic pallet feeding

The pace of the cell is set by the robot cycle.

A cycle that waits on the operator

However fast the robot runs, the cell keeps waiting on the operator.
