The technology's role in the cell
Conventional picking assumes the product will be in the same place every time. On real lines that assumption usually fails: product slides, rotates and arrives with changing gaps. Adding mechanical guides to align it costs both speed and format flexibility.
Vision-guided picking inverts the problem. Instead of forcing the product to fit the line, it tells the robot where the product actually is. The pick point is derived from the image on every cycle, so an irregular flow is tolerated and a new product format does not require mechanical changes on the line.
