Beverage Case Palletizing Line

A typical line where heavy, fast-moving beverage cases are palletized layer by layer.

Stages on this line

  1. 01 Case Infeed
  2. 02 Layer Forming
  3. 03 Palletizing
  4. 04 Pallet Wrapping
  5. 05 Pallet Transport
Example Configuration

This page describes a typical system architecture, not a record of a delivered project. Equipment selection and throughput are defined per project.

Line Flow

How the product moves through the line

Each node is a station on the line; the note underneath states the method used there. The order is the product's physical journey; equipment selection and throughput vary per project.

  1. 01 Case Infeed High-level line entry
  2. 02 Layer Forming Automatic row and layer
  3. 03 Palletizing Vacuum & clamp gripper
  4. 04 Pallet Wrapping Stretch film
  5. 05 Pallet Transport Autonomous mobile robot

On beverage lines the case is heavy and it moves fast. Unit picking cannot keep up beyond a certain rate; past that point the logic shifts to layer forming: cases are built into rows, then layers, and placed on the pallet in one move.

In this example configuration a high-level palletizer takes over layer forming, and pallet discharge connects directly to autonomous transport, given wet floors and heavy forklift traffic.

Typical Applications
  • Bottle and can beverage cases
  • High-throughput single-product lines
  • Wet and slippery floor conditions
